![]() Apparatus for the treatment of burns.
专利摘要:
This invention relates to a mobile apparatus, which can also be mounted fixed, primarily for the treatment of skin injuries such as burns, acid or alkaline exposure. The apparatus is mobile, and is designed to be placed over a lying or beach chaired positioned patient. In hospitals and other similar places, where treatment of damaged skin and tissue is done, this apparatus can be used with benefit for patient and health worker, for example for following treatment: - Rinsing of burn wounds. - Cleaning of unclean wounds. - Chilling of patient surface. - Rinsing after chemical damage of the skin. - Chilling after servere sunstroke. Also in locations where above situations can occur, this apparatus can be used. It should be noted, that if burn wound are chilled appropriately, the depth of burn wound can be slowed down and decreased and thereby tissue damage limited, so that the patient´s healing process can be shortened in time and potentially survivability can be improved.
This invention relates to a mobile apparatus, which can also be mounted fixed, primarily for the treatment of skin injuries such as burns, acid or alkaline exposure. The apparatus is mobile, and is designed to be placed over a lying or beach chaired positioned patient. In hospitals and other similar places, where treatment of damaged skin and tissue is done, this apparatus can be used with benefit for patient and health worker, for example for following treatment: Rinsing of burn wounds. Cleaning of unclean wounds. Chilling of patient surface. Rinsing after chemical damage of the skin. Chilling after servere sunstroke. Also in locations where above situations can occur, this apparatus can be used. It should be noted, that if burn wound are chilled appropriately, the depth of burn wound can be slowed down and decreased and thereby tissue damage limited, so that the patient’s healing process can be shortened in time and potentially survivability can be improved. On this apparatus, the nozzles that supply the liquid-spray-distribution, is based on a technology, which ensures that the droplets are distributed uniformly and gently to the patient's skin, without causing mist in the room. This ensures that the clinician can work unhindered and with visibility to the patient through the liquid spray treatment process. Thereby, the patient's core temperature, is not lowered unintentionally. The device is designed to be placed, over a lying or sitting patient. It is equipped with wheels, so that the apparatus can be easily moved and handled, by a single person. During the treatment, the patient can be placed, lying on a bed - for example - and the flat wheel frame of the apparatus, can slide under the stand of the bed. In such position, the health worker can adjust the height and the angle of bar with spray nozzle arms of the apparatus. With that design and construction, an optimal position can be achieved, by the health worker and for the patient. The spray nozzles of the apparatus, can be controlled individually or in groups, and adjusted to the right water flow and pressure. Or they can each be completely closed. If a patient in example is burned on a limited area of the body, only a few nozzles are activated for the treatment. In such a situation, the patient can for example be placed, angled in beach chair position or on a chair. For this application, the height adjustment positions and angle adjustment of the bar with the spray nozzle arms, can improve the treatment work. A preferred form of appliance in according with the invention, and its mode of use, are hereinafter described by reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figure 1 is the apparatus seen from the front, where 3 is the nozzle that sprays water on the injured area of the patient. The nozzle is attached to the flexible arm/hose 10, which can be handled with one hand. The flexible arm/hose, of which there are twelve in this example of the apparatus, is attached to the bar 9 which turning angle can be handled by one hand and without any tools. The bar 9 can be turned from e.g. a horizontal position to an angled position. The bar’s T-shape 5, is attached to the pole 7 with a bearing that allows easy handling (turning) with one hand and with sufficient friction to keep it in the desired position. The pole 7, is mounted to the wheel-frame 11 on a vertical mechanical guide. The weight of the pole and the components attached to it, is carried by a gas spring inside, so it can be easily adjusted in the height. The wheel frame 11 is mobile by two sets of wheels, where the two rear wheels 6 can turn 360 degrees round and can be locked by a foot. The two sets of front wheels under 4 are fixed in the frame in shifted position, which eases movement of the apparatus over uneven surfaces. The wheel frame 11 with its front wheels mounted partly inside, and with low profile, is easy to push under a hospital bed with low ground clearance. For a lying patient, the apparatus is designed to be positioned with the wheel frame pushed under the side of the bed, and with the bar 9 over and in parallel with the body of the patient. For a patient in a chair, the apparatus can as for a lying patient, be located on the side of the patient, but here with the bar 9, angled e.g. 45 degrees, so that the nozzles are relatively close to head and/or legs of the patient. The water inlet for each flexible arm/hose, is individually (or in groups) activated and to control liquid pressure and flow, by a valve 8 on the bar 9. Figure 2 shows the apparatus from the side and with the bar in horizontal position. The drawing shows the T-shape of the bar with a thermometer 12, which measures the temperature of the water (or other liquids) supplied to the apparatus. The thermometer measures the temperature close to the nozzles in order to show the best possible precision of the water (liquid) temperature. The bar of the apparatus, can be angled to the desired position in e.g. horizontal and +/- 45 degrees. The friction of the bar is controlled by loosening or tightening the knob 13 placed on the rear side of the pole. This drawing from the side of the apparatus, also shows an example of split arms/hoses 14 with two nozzles, to cover larger spray area of the patient. Figure 3 shows the shifted wheel pair from the side in front end of the low profile wheel frame by position 4 in figure 1. Figure 4 shows the design of the arm/hose, of which water (or other liquids) runs through from the bar to the Nozzle. The arm/hose consist of repeated alike pieces of hollow rotation symmetrical polymer material parts which are clicked together to form a tube. The outer spherical form 1 fits into the internal spherical form 2 of the other end of each piece. The friction between the parts enables the arm/hose to be positioned precise and with very little spring back and with one hand, so that the nozzles mounted in the end, keeps the desired position and spray direction.
